Wedding DJ Set Up

There are multiple aspects needed for a DJ to set up and prepare for the big event they are about to perform for! Set up for the DJ is just as important as the actual wedding day, corporate event, or private party the are DJing for. Part of a DJ's confidence is knowing that they are adequately prepared, ready, and prepped prior to the event. Not only is selecting the wedding playlist a necessary task for DJ's in order to prepare, but aspects like where the DJ is going to set up and perform is another huge aspect that is often over looked. So why is this so important? There are three reasons why DJ set up is essential for a successful event! 
1. Visual 
The placement of where the DJ is set up is very important. This aspect of set up for a wedding DJ is very important and shouldn't be overlooked. This is important for multiple different reasons. First, the DJ wants to be located in a central location where everyone can see them adequately. While running and hosting an event, it is important that all the guests can see the DJ and know who and where they are being spoken to. It is hard for the guests to be involved and engaged if the DJ isn't seen by everyone. Second, it is also important for the placement and set up of the DJ to be visually appealing. There are multiple aspects to visual set up. One, you don't want there to be too much equipment at the event. Whether it is a wedding DJ set up or a corporate party set up, too much equipment can look bulky and out of place which could result in unhappy clients. Secondly, it is important that the DJ doesn't look out of place or not where they should be. A wedding DJ or Corporate party DJ there are pictures being taken, so the DJ wants to make sure they are perfectly set up and look visually appealing for their clients and guests. 
2. Sound Quality
It is also important that where the DJ sets up, the sound quality is on point. Depending on the building or room, there are different places in the room where a DJ has better sound quality. There could be echo's or effects that could result in the bad sound quality of the music which could lead to unhappy clients and guests. Not only could the music quality sound off, but the DJ won't be able to adequately run the event if the guests aren't able to hear the DJ's communication. Sound quality is a very important aspect the DJ needs to consider while setting up for an event whether it is a corporate event, private party, or wedding.  
3. Audibility
Not only is sound quality important, but audibility is also a very important aspect of where the DJ sets up. If a DJ sets up in the wrong location, the speakers could be either too loud for guests, or they won't be loud enough. This is an important consideration that needs to be made while setting up and figuring out where the DJ is going to set up. A qualified and experienced DJ knows the event center ahead of time and preplans where they are going to set up so they know how the guests are going to hear the music and the DJ's communications so they know the perfect sound audibility and how it is going to be heard from the guests before the big day!
